Happy Summer Events!

Hello World!
Wow, it has been a million years since I last posted! I can't believe that it took me like... 3 months to post again. Ohh well. I will update you all on the eventful events that happened this summer- craftyness oriented or not. At the end of the post are a bunch of new listings! You should check them all out NOW! I am also having a back to school sale- get 15% off your purchase with the coupon code "backtoschool"! Anyways, back to the eventful summer I had...

1. I graduated from WSU! I got my degree in Foreign Languages and Cultures (Spanish) so that I could start my Master's in Teaching program!

2. I started grad school! I am getting my Master's in Teaching, and I am student teaching in first grade this year! This was one of my assignments for my literacy class:

3. I broke my arms. I crashed my bike while riding on a trail between Pullman, WA, and Moscow, ID, in the middle of my first session of grad school classes. Also put a damper on the knitting front, seeing as I couldn't move my arms. Or lift more than a pound with each arm.

4. I finally healed up enough to start knitting. And knitting. AND KNITTING! You can find all of these accessories and more at www.pursuitofcraftyness.etsy.com . Check it out! NOW!

Well, that's all I've got for now. What do you think???

Epic Photography Fail

I went home this weekend and had my sister model some things. I made this really adorable turban-style headband that I LOVED and looked really great on my sister. Now, going through the photos, I realized that I forgot to take a picture of the whole headband... oops. All I have are pictures of the left side of the headband. The pictures all turned out great, but I feel like I can't post the headband for sale until I get pictures of the other side of it. What do you think? Can I post it for sale or should I snap a few more photos?

Great Weekend at Home!

Well, this last weekend was absolutely fabulous. I drove home with my amazing roommate, Jerica (the awesome model of my Pumpkin Cowl, found here: ). Anyways, she drove me home and introduced me to the wonders that are Sephora (I'd never been there before because the makeup is just way too expensive!). My mom met me at the mall and we hurried home because... WE WERE GOING TO SEE THE HUNGER GAMES! Now, you may not know me very well, but I am a Spanish major and I am going to grad school to get my degree in Elementary Education. i love children's books. And I LOVE the Hunger Games. It was my 13 year old brother's birthday party, so my mom, sister, little bro, all of his friends, and I raced over to the movie theater to see the movie. It is SO GOOD!!!!! I definitely recommend that everyone watch it, or at least read the book. :)
On Saturday, I spent all day at my sister's track meet where she ran varsity events. After, we drove to Seattle to see MAMMA MIA!! My mom got us tickets months ago, and the show was AMAZING!!!
What does all this have to do with knitting? Well, since the drive from Pullman to Port Orchard is between 5 and 6 hours, I got a LOT of knitting done. I finished a headband and an adorable cowl! Pictures WILL be posted asap, as well as new listings. And, of course, my beautiful, track-running sister is the best model around. So I always bring things for her to model for me when I come home.
Well, I am out of time! Pictures will be posted asap! I will talk to you all later!

New Items and Spring Break!

Geez it has been forever since my last post! I meant to start posting weekly/biweekly, but I guess that isn't really happening. I have been really busy with school lately, and last week was my spring break! I went to Tennessee to visit my dad, which was really fun and helped me to rid myself of my southern stereotypes (although some of the stereotypes I had still remain... Confederate flags everywhere?! Dry counties? Seriously, we are in the 21st century right now!) But now I am back to the grind. I only have 8 more weeks until I graduate with my Spanish degree(AHHHHHHH) and, of course, I have a lot of knitting to tell you about!

I recently did a photo shoot with a good friend and coworker of mine, Katelynn. Here are some of the items I put for sale in the past few weeks!

All of these items and more can be found at:

I LOVE all of these items. I made a bunch of the turban headbands for a wedding party (from a STRANGER!) on Etsy in January, and I really think they are just adorable. Also, if you like any of these items but want it in a different color or size, I love doing custom orders! (nothing like selling myself on my own blog... hehe)

Well, I'll see you all later! Maybe I'll post later in the week! (Maybe......)

Lots of Knitting!

Hello everyone!
I have been knitting up a storm lately and I'll be putting quite a few things for sale on Etsy in the next few days! Stay tuned!

Told you!

This whole blog thing is terrible. I am so bad at remembering to post! I thought I was doing a good job at one point... but apparently I still need to get used to writing regularly.
I have done a ton of projects since my last post. And I have some great news- I made it to 30 sales on Etsy! That doesn't count all of the sales I've done for my friends outside of Etsy, or the gifts I've made for others. I am really excited though! I felt like last semester I was too stressed and had too much work to do to be able to knit and promote my products constantly. But this semester I have a much lighter class load (even though I'm working more) so I have a ton of new products!

Here is a new cowl I made for my friend Anna for Christmas. It is also for sale on Etsy! http://www.etsy.com/listing/89456245/plum-berry-cowl-made-to-order

I also made a fabulous cowl that I absolutely adore. It is super adorable and so warm! I am really sad it hasn't sold yet, but if it never sells, I might just have to keep it.. :)

You can find it for sale here! http://www.etsy.com/listing/89456840/wood-fairy-cowl

I've also had some big Etsy sales- I recently made 10 headbands for 10 bridesmaids for a girl in WA. I was pretty excited for the sale. I encountered a few problems with the order, but overall it was a pretty good experience!

I'm also working on some braided headbands. They're not for sale yet, because I need some new models. My sister is the best model ever, but unfortunately she lives on the other side of the state so I don't get to see her very often.

Well, hopefully I will be posting more regularly. We'll see. I hope you are liking what you've seen today! And be sure to let me know if you'd like some custom
orders done!
